UGH ladies I need some help! I just got my first yeast infection ever two nights ago. So far I am on Monistat 3 cream...and on the second day of it...but sometimes the itching/burning is simply unbearable!! Any other tips on how to make this thing go away a little sooner!? Also, should all symptoms be gone after 3 days? Thanks in advance.

I believe that monistat sells a topical ointment or cream for itching that can be used in conjunction with the monistat 3 cream.
If anything please contact your GYN for further evaluation he or she can also prescribe an oral medication used for treatment of vaginal yeast infections called diflucan (patients are said to have relief in about 24hrs)

Best of luck, feel better!!!

Take a little bit of the cream and put it on the labia, that should help out a lot. If it isn't cleared up by the 4 th day go to your DR. in case it is something other than a yeast. Yeast are usually triggered by nylon panties or being on antibiotics.

Yeast infections seem to be one of things us ladies are to often blessed with. What you are useing I have heard is very good. But also is expensive to some budgets. you have access to the internet so if the Monostat doesn't work for you, do a search on home remedies. Believe it or not, I have search home remedies for yeast infections and many other things, and they usually work. Also eating plenty yogart. But there are other good things to try on this home remedy site. Try www.home-remedies-for-you.com. BC

The symptoms can last longer. If still there after 10 days see a DR. until then eat active culture yogurt, or buy accicophilus at the drug store and take it to replace the good bacteria in your vaginal wall. Buy some witch hazel and use it to wipe and cool down the itch, it's a natural astringent good for cleaning face pimplea , hemorhoids and vaginal burning as well as bruises and such. Good luck. Taking Oregano oil from the health food store is a way to get rid of yeast in the body...ask them how much to take.

ways to make it go a way

wear cotton underware

wear loose fitting pants or skirts

drink lots of water

dont have vaginal sex

dont use tampons

keep the area clean but dont use antibacterial soaps (the best one is Ivory the unsented one)

Check the experation date on the package. If it has past it might not be working right.

And the symptoms probably wont be gone in three days but should be letting up some, it could take up to a couple weeks.
