go to radio shack and get a Y plug. Take your headset with you to ensure its the right plug....some have 1, 2 or 3 rings on the male part. guy at store can help you....bout $3 bucks.

I had to do this so I could have my bose headphones plugged in all the time with my speakers so I can choose which to listen with.

Y cable will do it, however the sound will be compromised either on the speakers or the headset.

Different mixer levels are required for optimal sound on these two devices.

If you need to use both at the same time on a regular basis I would invest in a sound card with 4 channel or quad sound. They are not near as expensive as they sound. You can even find one for under $15.00 (like this model) :

This way you can hook them up to independant output jacks & tweak the sound on each device accordingly.
