As an Employer, I have dealt with unemployment on an extensive basis. Yes, there is possibility to collect unemployment if you voluntarily quit or are discharged from employment (misconduct). It depends on the State that you are filing from too and should reference the State's Employment Services website. If you have hard supporting documentation that your voluntary leave was due to the working conditions there is possibility that it could go in your favor. Again you would have to be able to support your reasoning though. The same way if an employee was discharged for misconduct... It is the Company's burden of proof for the termination of employment. If at first Employment Services favors the Employer, the Employee can always appeal. If the conditions are that bad consult your local Employment Services Department... They also list job opportunities as well. If it is also as bad as you say... Consult the Deparment of Labor.

He will get his, don't worry, but unfortunately unemployment has guidelines and you have to be in a certain category to still get un-employment like the job was way to far (state far) or something of that sort. You should just stick it out and try to find you another job while working. Jobs are very hard to come by now and days.

Just get a job at a temp agency. They have some temp jobs that are for the weekend only. For example, once I worked 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday moving boxes for a company from one office location to another. After the move they didn't need me anymore and I was laid off. I then applied for unemployment and got it..

Why don't you just quit, get a better job and forget this loser boss of yours. Trying to get back at him by making him pay unemployment for you is a waste of your time and your energy. Plus, it is bad karma and bad things will await you down the road for this childish act. Do yourself a favor, quit and make your life better.

You can't quit and recieve unemployment benefits. Stick it out and look for another job giving at least a two week notice.
