It seems to me, frustration levels are directly proportional to political awareness/information... true or false?

Certainly not bliss for those of us who have to deal with the repercusions and who don't own a Playstation3 or follow the NFL playoffs.

as a gut reaction, i'd be inclined to agree but the fact is that things are a little more complicated. political awareness can also lead to other feelings, such as cynicism and apathy. however, both of these feelings may also stem from a lack of interest in politics and politicians.

don't forget that political awareness and how informed someone is are not limited only to the left leaning. those who support rabid right wing policies may be well-informed and very happy with how things are at the moment.

in other words, it is probably only those who care about people who are experiencing frustration at the moment. for them, the "bliss" of ignorance is not nornally an option.

Nice avatar for New Years. True to your question. But how can you remain ignorant, and therefore blissful? I know I would not wish to do so, even knowing the price.

I think you are right for the most part. It seems that the more informed a person is, the more frustrated they can be. Sometimes it is just passion. And sometimes it just seems to be pure anger and hatred.
