How may I ask did you get this position? Most management positions at least require that you know how to spell something which I notice you seem to be lacking. Grammar must not be your strong suit as I'm having difficulty trying to figure out exactly what it is that you are asking.

Rather than you trying to motivate older workers maybe they can be an inspiration to you. You cannot come off sounding like an "know it all" as you are the "new kid of the block" and not a very learn-ed one at that. Here's a thought - maybe you should try asking these staff members what it is that they need as far as tools to help them feel motivated. Their answers may surprise you. Are you comprehending this? Last but not least how about the reward system - you do know what that is don't you?
Good Luck with this endeavour.

If you are the supervisor be a good finder. That means catch them doing things right and praise them. Let them know specifically what you like they did and how good it makes you feel. Give 10 such complements to every one suggestion for improvement and you will find they will become much more motivated to produce for you, regardless of age. Also, you need to develop a strong sense of humor by watching movies like Shrek often and collecting jokes (search for Lawyer jokes on the web) and develop the habit of "thinking funny".

Offer stock options or profit sharing incentives. In my research, i've seen anti-corporate and anti-conformist corporations succeed and profit way beyond others.

What this means is a liberal lifestyle - allow them to have fun at work, have costume contests, competitive sales contests, creative contests for driving profits, etc...

Goodluck with everything!

not clear..did you mean cooperate instead of corporate. Employees often need incentive to be step it up. Think about incentives to raise salaries, bonuses, etc.

Do a survey (online) to find out what they want. Why try to guess when you can find out direct?
