How can you tell the difference between a real Dooney and Bourke bag and a knock off, especially in the "Doodle" line?

Make sure everything is real leather, if it's not, you can bet it's a fake.
Check the zipper: make sure it's the rainbow zipper.
Look at the stitches- is each individual stitch slightly slanted?
Check for the logo on the bag, obviously. Check the inside for the logo. Make sure the heart shaped "Dooney & Bourke" charm is on the bag.

if you have it with you , it has a rainbow zipper, a heart zipper puller thing, and it has a number stitched inside next to a thing also stitched inside that says dooney and bourke

the real one has a serial number inside the purse, at the top against the lining of the top.
A fake one does not.
the real one, you will notice in the threading on the outside, matches the color of the leather.
A fake one is slightly lighter.

Usually knock-offs dont put the designers tag on the inside.

better quality the fabrics they use are much cheaper. they just have very slight differences but no one will notice unless you tell them about it.

or at nordstroms or macy's that's the way you can tell they are real! i got mine from macy's
