My husbands work is having a x-mas party at a casino and I want to look good but not let it all hang out. I havent wore a dress in many years I am a stay at home mom so jeans and t-shirts are my usual. I want to look nice any suggestions?

Really my husbands x-mas party is in the end of Jan dont ask me why I think its because its easier for the company he works for to reserve it his work only the employees and their 1 guest are allowed to go its not opened to the public.

dress it up, you can wear a little black dress and some heals. your husband would probably love that. I'm a stay at home mom too, so if you have a chance to feel a little sexy then do it. good luck!!!

I understand what you are saying. You want to look stunning, not trashy. How about a really nice, elegant, pants suit. The jacket might also be able to hide any flaws(if you know what I mean) if you have any after having children. Make sure that the top has a little sex appeal to it. Try ones that have a little pizazz on the top. Like sequins or embroidery or something like that. Top it off with high heels, jewelry and hair. You should look sophisticated and elegant.

For a dress-opt for a Lamé dress (classy yet still enough glitz), with tights, and ankle strap stilletos or wedges.
If you feel more comfortable in pants but still want to dress up-create an evening suit with a velvet jacket (deep purple, forest green, ditch the boring black), layer your tanks (sequined tank with a silk chiffon tank or cotton one), and simple black slacks. This is an eclectic-casual spin on classic chic.
I know this all may be a bit much, but I hope it helps a little!

To my boyfriend's Christmas party I wore a long black tank dress, a dark green blouse, black high heel shoes and silver jewelry. To a casino, I would wear a long dress.

Go out and treat yourself to a nice dress. No doubt you've been working hard being a mom and you deserve a nice night out w/ the hubby wearing a pretty dress.

I think a cocktail dress would be appropriate because this type of dress won't be too formal or too casual. But I wouldn't recommend for you to buy a strapless dress because sometimes people think that the kind of dress is too provocative. The party that you are attending is not your friend's party so you need to be really careful when choosing a dress.

I would recommend, since casual and comfortable is your normal routine to find a jersey wrap dress or a wrap dress of some kind (can be found anywhere..Old navy, target, walmart, etc) and some boots...just jazz it up with a updo some makeup and accessories. if it's really fancy..just find some sexy shoes!

I see. Maybe a winter white or little black dress. Most of them are strapless or very revealing so I like to wear those little jackets that are mostly sleeves. Nothing too long that is too formal. You have to wear heels with them too. have fun!
