Killing Saddam will not solve anything. If nothing else it will perpetuate the paradigm of revenge killings which fuels much of the violence in the region.
How different (and better) the world would be if no government anywhere would torture or kill prisoners. We can't even reach that level of civilized behavior in the US, which is amazing to me.

I believe the execution will only escalate the turmoil in that country. He still had followers, and he always will. I just can't believe we still live in a world that people are hung to death. Yes he did murder several people, but so have people in other countries. For example Israel murdered several in Lebanon in the past and currently continues to. Nobody is being held accountable. As far as our men and women losing their lives in Iraq...Our administration is the only one to blame. Their intelligence information, or lack of, caused the war. Instead of America spending our resources looking for the tyrants of 911, we chose to go after Hussein. It was a senseless move and unprovoked at the time. My thoughts and prayers are with our millitary men and women and all of their families. My prayers are also with America's Administration to have the strength to do what's right. Let's worry about the poverty stricken and uneducated children in our own country before trying to help others.

America started that they were there to find his weapons of mass destruction too this day they still havn't found them.. I think that Iraq is a country that needs to sort itself out and dosn't need the interference from other countries.
yes Saddam is better off dead for all the world and his own country as well.
My thoughts and prayers are with the familes and the soldiers serving over there. Please don't forget it is not just the americans over there there are plenty of soldiers from other parts of the world there as well.

No way...in fact Sadaam has not been an important player in events for a very long time...it might make some of the Iraqi people happy that a tormentor is dead but in the long run I doubt it will make a huge difference very sadly...

confident, He needless to say develop into carried out. a million) He develop into in US custody up till the very end and there develop into no way we'd enable him a) walk away into X documents or b) wither away in reformatory - had to be a climax 2) For the main area - rather much all of Iraq needed him lifeless. enable's settle for it - he develop into very very akin to Hitler and others interior that context. Retaliation - ever ongoing interior Iraq :( Any excuse for the Suni or Shia armed forces to rage - it quite is going to be so. the line to freedom is now completely cleared; the Tyrant is lifeless, all of Iraq is perked by the nationwide oil money, a voted in democracy, etc. The attempt of their will, reformation, way of existence, or maybe faith is now of their palms.

YES, he was executed. I do not think it will solve the problems. The war may get worse.
