Like if the escalator stops and your stranded there, what do you?

If you ever get stranded on an escalator while high, you would understand.

Yes. One time when I was in junior high, my jeans leg got caught in an escalator and I was stuck. (hey, it was bell-bottoms back then!) We were leaving a Cleveland Indians baseball game and lots of people were going down the escalator. My dad grabbed and pulled me, ripping my jeans leg. Someone had stopped the escalator about the same time. I could have been trampled to death if no one had stopped it and my dad hadn't pulled me out.

Walk up or down Silly the escalator will stop if something gets caught. These instructions on every elevator at each end posted like don't use a stroller etc.

Not a bad idea for top and bottom of the escalator. I saw a lady
get her sandal stuck in the bottom of escalator. There should be
a emergency switch to close in a hurry.

Well, if you are too stoopid to figure out how to get off an escalator in case of an emergency you really shouldn't be leaving your house without putting on your padded helmet.

in escalator it is open and everyone can see you..i think no need for instructions...just follow the crowd..if you get stranded..walk down or up .

Mitch Hedberg had a joke about that - that the warning would be "temporarily stairs"
I would put a sign that says, "Stay put and wait for someone to rescue you."
Anyone who stays should be shot.
