Yes it is worth it. Just to give you a heads up I had a car that had an automatic with a supercharger and I saw around 1-1 1/2 second quicker quarter mile times. It was a Honda =( but still it was a major improvement. I was tired of buying all these aftermarket parts and not really seeing a noticeable HP gain. Once I added the supercharger it was a difference between night and day.
On top of all this the supercharger does have to build up boost per RPM speed. So don’t matter if you have an automatic or manual the supercharger still needs RPM speed to produce boost. Trust me you will love it.
On my sources you will see a picture of two mustangs at the track. The one on the left is an automatic mustang with a supercharger on it.

i own a repair shop, and i drove an older car that had a super charger,,this was years ago,and it didn't make any difference about the transmission ,it helped it,,it does work a lot better in a manual shift car,,but with an automatic you need your speed built up good,,but you,ll know it when it comes in,,believe me you,ll feel it,,if it don't put you back in the seat, there's something wrong with it,,but it would be worth it if that's what you want to have on it,good luck happy new years.

well Im bias so I rather have a fat a** T3/T4 but In all honesty if your set on getting a supercharger go for it. though its not forced induction like a turbo you still have many of the same concerns upgrade your engine to take that amount of boast. as far as your transmission your ok theres alot of automatics out there that have blowers installed but keep in mind regaurdless no transmission is indistructable.

You will see a definite performance increase, same as a manual car. The difference is, you'll be replacing the transmission sooner than if it were stock. GO FOR IT!
I always wanted to put on on my Tundra to crank the H/P up to around 300-325, but I couldn't quite cough up the 4K plus installation charges.

I drive trucks with turbos alot and a cousin had a Merc Cougar with a super-charger. Automatics are reasonably reliable nowadays, so the extra power wont ruin them. If you get a Paxton with adjustable manifold pressure, you can actually get better fuel milage, if you know when to keep your foot out of it!
good luck
