Before a laptop leaves the factory the screens are wiped down with a lint free cloth with a little 50% solution of isopropal alcohol on it........If the factory uses it I guessed that I would too and have for the last 7 years.

I have a laptop and I usually use a clean cotton cloth to wipe away any dust off of the monitor. You can also use glass cleaner but be careful not to get any of it in the computer through the keyboard.

It is best to use a cleaning kit specifically designed for this...my son said soap and water can corrode the crystals in the LCD screen.
