Ten Pounds of Ten Dollar Bills

The 10 dollar bills would be 45,400 dollars since each bill weighs almost exactly 1 gram. There are 454 grams in a pound that makes 4540 dollars in one pound and 45,400 in ten.

The price of gold varies. Today the price per Troy ounce is 638.00. There are 14.58 Troy ounces in a pound so, 14.58 X 638.00 is 9,302.04. Multiply that by 10 it comes to 93,020.40.

So I will take the 10 dollar bills since it is worth more. Plus the value of the 10 pounds of 10 dollars will always be worth 45,400 dollars. It does not take very many pounds of gold to over take the bills though.

The price of gold rises and falls. Id rather have something that always has the same value(until inflation). You can find the value of gold very easily all you have to do is go to a news paper and look at the stocks page and find the commodities.

Would be very happy with ten pounds of ten dollar bills. Don't actually know which would be more in value. Maybe that should be the next question asked.

well this is a mathematical question but some things differ everyday like what gold is worth but i would bet (not having a scale to weigh them that a ten dollar bill doesn't weigh very much) so you would most likely be better off having ten pounds of ten dollar bills than you would one pound of gold

The dollar bills, because I could invest them into stocks that would outperform the one pound of gold in value over the long run. Great question.

One pound of gold is 16 oz. One ounce of gold is about $850.00. Multiply that by 16 and you get about $13,600.00 for one pound of gold. A ten dollar bill weighs about a gram. There are 454 grams in a pound. 454 times $10.00 equals $4,540.00 in one pound of ten dollar bills. multiply that by 10 pounds and you get $45,500.00 in 10 pounds of 10 dollar bills. So I would choose the 10 pounds of 10 dollar bills.
