I don't know...Just remember that certain questions are completely unanswerable. Anyone who tells you different is making some sort of a guess, whether it be educated or not.
Some will tell you God has always been - and that God is removed from the constraints of time. Others say that, if God exists, there MUST be something that predates God. For example, how did God know what to do? Where did God learn His or Her or Its morals?
When you go as far backward as you think you possibly can, just think of what came before THAT - and then you'll realize you're spinning in circles.
