i dont' know..but i do know you can get a manual on eb*y that tells you how to fix ps2 consoles, and you can get all the parts on eb*y too. hope this helps.

Maybe you could clean the disk and blow the inside of your ps2 thats what I do when it wont read a disk

It may have broken... the same thing happened to me... I sent it somewhere and they sent back a PS2 that was broken but they fixed. You could do that, it costs like $50 or around there. Contact the PS2 support thing you find on the box or instruction manuel and call them. Be prepared to answer questions, I had to. I told them the problem and they told me the news that I broke it...

If it out from warranty. just open the PS2 and try to clean the lens and clean up all the dust inside the PS2.

Maybe is broken because the plastion or to fragile the nintendo are better because they resist more damage.

take it in to like game stop or a place like that and tell them about it and see if they can get you another one or fix it...
check the warrenty and on it there should be a phone number to call... if there is

STEP 1- grab your keys
STEP 2- drive to gamestop or bestbuy
STEP 3-buy the xbox 360
STEP 4- come back and play the xbox 360
