Of course!!!!!! This is one of the best parts about owning a video ipod. Af first, I didn't know how to do this, and it really bugged me....cause I was like: "If I own a video ipod shouldn't I be able to get my DVD's (that I own) on to it?" After some reasearch, talking to people and experimenting, I have found the perfect, easy and MOST importantly FREE way to do this.

Ok here it is:

1. Download the free software handbreak (mac or PC). Google handbreak and you can download it from there. Handbreak is the software that lets you rip a DVD onto your harddrive. For a standrad movie length, it takes about 2 hours or so. Its grea software that is really simple and requires no prior knoledge on doing this.

2. Once the DVD is on your computer, you need to convert it to Ipod video format (mp4). To do this, download isquint, an ipod video converter. It is only for macs, but for PC users there are many free ipod video conversion softwares out there, so don't fret. Once you convert it using one of the softwares, preferably isquint, all you need to do is drag your newly ipod ready video into itunes.

That about summs it up, hope it helps :)

Yes, there are mutilple ways to put your movies that you have on your ipod. But it all depends on what you have. Are you talking about DVDs to ipod? If you have a dvd drive on your computer[that plays/burns dvds] your can get this software that converts your movie to "MP4" format which is used on ipods. There are many different convertors out there but im not quite sure whats the best... I dont have a dvd drive so i can even play dvds on my computer! But i went to walmart and bought this thing called "DVDXpressDX2" which is were i can plug my dvd/vcr/video source to the box, which then saves it on my computer and you have chocies for ipod format, dvd, etc...that cost around 70bucks tho.. So hopefully you do have a dvd drive and if you do all you have to do is download that free software!! There called MP4 convertors n stuff. Im sure someone knows what the best free one is....

Anyway hope i helped a lil bit lol
goodluck.....

yes you can do this. i do it all the time. it is very simple. u need to go to google and search for two things. one is a DVD ripper and one is something that will convert the DVD to an mp4.

once u have downloaded these free programs and installed them it is very simple. you must first rip the DVD onto your computer using the DVD ripper and then take then DVD now on your computer and use the converting program to covert it. and do not worry this will not damage your DVD. once u have done that just drag it into itunes.

this process should be very easy and try to find a program that has step by step instructions on how to use thier program.

hope this helps!
