or do you welcome it?

This is really a good question. If you'd asked me a year ago, I'd say that:: "yes, I welcome change". But the reality is, the older I get, the more resistant to change I become. I have found that I am a person who is comfortable in boundaries that have been set or that I have set. Perfect example: I teach middle school. We moved into a brand new building, new location and farther away. I 'thought' the excitement of the move and the new building, new furniture, etc would be enough to keep me 'up'. What I've found is that everybody around me has changed. The friendliness and compassion is gone - the building is bigger and we don't see each other as much - everybody is off into their own thing. I dont' like this feeling at all. Change can be difficult. We are creatures of sameness. We get comfortable in the sameness. Change comes along and says' 'we'll do it this way' and immediately, our feelings are hurt, our "apple cart" upset. But change - is also good. There is a song that I am reminded of - and it says -

Everything must change
Nothing stays the same
Everything must change
No one stays the same

The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
'Cause that's the way of time
No one and nothing goes unchanged

There are not many things in life you can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And hummingbirds do fly

Winter turns to spring
A wounded heart will heal
But never much too soon
No one and nothing goes unchanged

The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
'Cause that's the way of time
No one and nothing goes unchanged

There are not many things in life you can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
Hummingbirds do fly

Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
Hummingbirds do fly

Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
Hummingbirds do fly

Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And music makes me cry

I've learned to accept change, because it IS going to happen. Why fear the inevitable, it is better to just accept the changes and live happy. Just my feeling.

Change for the worse I guess...
Not necessarily change in general. I'm open to some changes

I'm fearful. I avoid making decisions because I'm afraid of what may become of it.
