I am preparing to install a remote start in my wife's 2000 Subaru Outback. Does anyone know of any issues I should watch out for with these installs in a Subaru?

There is a lot of cutting involved with installing a remote starter. I took my Forester to a place that specialized installing remote starters. I would return the do it yourself RS and take it to a shop. It will cost about $250.00. It is worth the money. Make sure they use solder and heat shrink tubing. Some places just twist the wires together and use electrical tape. If its done right it will work a long time. If it is installed by a hack you will have problems.
Even if you decide to do it yourself. Solder everything and use heat shrink tubing. It is worth the trouble and expense.

Working around the airbag can be dangerous. If you don't know what not to mess with don't do it.
