power corrupts itself

This is one of my favorite books and basically about how unjust and how communism will never reach it's true form. The quote, I believe it's "Some Animals are more equal than others" or something like that, just shows equality can never be fully reached. Also that quote also shows the power of words and propaganda.

animal farm is an allorgy for the russian revolution
Snowball=trosky
Napoleon=stalin
Squealer=Propaganda (tried to make napoleon look better)

To add, animal farm was like a communist party in the beginning, everyone got a fair share. But once the pigs became the controllers they got addicted to their own power. The same thing happened during the russian revoltution when Stalin had to much power.

Animal Farm - George Orwell

The Corruption of Socialist Ideals in the Soviet Union

Animal Farm is most famous in the West as a stinging critique of the history and rhetoric of the Russian Revolution. Retelling the story of the emergence and development of Soviet communism in the form of an animal fable, Animal Farm allegorizes the rise to power of the dictator Joseph Stalin. In the novella, the overthrow of the human oppressor Mr. Jones by a democratic coalition of animals quickly gives way to the consolidation of power among the pigs. Much like the Soviet intelligentsia, the pigs establish themselves as the ruling class in the new society.

I think George Orwell was trying to show what having too much power can do and how it can get out of control and eventually cause self-destruction.

I think that he (the author that can not be named-yuk!)
was just trying to recreate communism for all of us that may have not gotten the whole idea of what had and might happen.
it was a really stupid book and so was 1984 - I dislike that author very much!
