I believe it is the worst mistake with a dire set of outcomes...more children will die now :(
Applause to those who think killing is right....sarcastically...
Yes I fully understand the victims want him dead..but killing is still wrong...by example.

no one questions when i say more children will die now..... and i didnt say give him his killing job back...jeez, think about it... i mean, we have as a world just told people, killing is ok if the reason is good enough....
Sorry... that is irrational and wrong... angrily correct but in reality, wrong.
Who has the right to kill ? NO ONE

He killed more innocent people than we are killing now. AND - it is NOT our fault that the terrorist COWARDS hide behind their women and children when fighting this war against us.
The US troops are honorable and do not hide in schools. The same can't be said for the Islamic Fascists.
Should he have been killed? YES. An eye for an eye and all that...he is NOT an innocent man wrongly accused. I do not agree with a death sentence if there is ANY doubt of guilt.

Yes. Thank you for your applaude. You understand the victims want him dead and that killing is wrong. Yet you do not mention their reasons. You have yet mention the victims of Hussein and your opinion on their deaths. So killing is wrong, unless your Hussein? What about all the killings made to establish fear. Is not killing by example what he did to the Kurds to establish his political views?

I think a lifetime of punishment is much worse than death. Here's what I base that on: If I were sentenced to life in prison they would have to keep me on constant suicide watch b/c I would try anything and everything I could to kill myself. When life sucks that bad death becomes an escape rather than a punishment.

More children and other innocent people are alive because he's not around to rule Iraq. Those that are dying now unfotutnatley, are dying because of the fanatics who came to Iraq to spread jihad.

No, they shouldn't have. He will no longer feel pain, suffering, hurt, or bear the the physical and emotional scars he and his reign had inflicted on so many. Death is an easy way out. It's done, it's over.

if killing is wrong, letting saddam live would cause more deaths under his rule... if we let everyone live like this, there would be no example of punishment for those who kill innocent people

This is a deeper question...
It's not that Saddam didn't deserve to be punished, even by death, for atrocities, it is the manner it came about.
You see, we put into motion the events that led up to this when we had no right whatsoever to get involved.... Saddam was not a threat to us, he was contained.
We do not have the authority to go around the world reconstructing every government we don't like and setting the stage for executions.
