I am pretty sure what he has already been tried of is quite enough. He was tried for crimes against humanity, for killing 148, this trial, he killed thousands of Iraqi people. The penalty for the 148 he was found guilty of was death by hanging. He will be tried in absencia for the rest but the result for that would have been death too, so the result is the same. It is undisbuted, he was a tortureous dictator who killed his own people by the thousands,

For what? A proper conviction record, more court time, and silliness from Saddam's people in the court? 148 people is enough and if you think about it - from the guilty verdict to the execution, it was quick.

If they were to put him on trial for everything he did, the trial would go on for so many years. Instead of wasting tons of money and so much time, they knew it was going to happen so they just speed up the process.

We wanted him dead, everyone wanted him dead. Justice was served, though it was over 148 people, it was for all who lost thier lives. I'm sure the UN will go into full investigations and place blame though.

It makes no difference but I see where you're coming from. It makes some sense to try him for everything that way it's all put to rest. It's too late for that now though.

I think it was too soon.

They should have waited until things are a little bit more stable in Iraq. All this is gonna do is invoke more violence. The U.S. has almost no control in Iraq and they just killed the only guy who ever did.

NO, we should have gone further with his trial so that more information about the atrocities could come forth.

i think he should of gone on trail for everything he did but the trail whould of taken forever and he would of died of old age befor he awas sentenced, i am glad they have sentenced him now althou i dont think he should of been hanged maybe something different, and yes in thr future people will know about everything he did

No offense but let's try and be thankful that he has been eliminated from this earth and cannot make any more people suffer.
