Does that mean evil conquers good. I dont think so but it appears that way. I wish the media would leave it alone now. there both gone. But lets hear about Ford some more.

It happens. Like Princess Diana's death overshadowed Mother Teresa's. Elvis Presely's death over shadowed Grocho Marx.
I know you are thinking what do they have to do with sadam Hussien and Gerald Ford. But it's just what is more current in news. It's sad Ford died and we lost a good man. But we have been waiting to here about saddam hussien and now that's done with, the news will be about reaction in Iraq.

Considering that Ford granted interviews over several years that he was afraid to have made public until he died, and that those interviews show that people with sense in the Rebublican party had been systematically screwed bt what are now called neocons, it is not at all surprising that the execution of the bush bogeyman is being pushed so very hard.

Bush couldn't attend the 30 Dec. services for Ford because he was busy riding his bicycle andcutting brush. Rumsfeld was supposed to be a pall bearer but didn't show up.

The dying of Gerald Ford made me extra unhappy, because of the fact he served his united states (and mine) nicely, yet he became ninety 3, so it relatively became his time. The dying of Saddam Hussein made me extra frightened. I won't waste tears over him, because of the fact he became a brutal tyrant, yet i'm in contact relating to the way his trial and execution have been dealt with--tried with the aid of a central authority that did no longer even exist on the time of his crimes, and then taunted on the gallows. I propose, he's probable answerable for all that he became convicted of and extra, however the way of his trial and execution became extra like a vendetta than genuine justice, and that i'm afraid which will added enflame a united states it is already in flames, in an attempt to speak.

The only reason it seems that Saddam's death is overshadowing Ford's is because people were expecting and some wanting Saddam's death. They wanted to see an evil bastard dead.

Ford was a good man and is being honored with respect and gratitude. No one wanted his death, but it happened.

Ford will get his due respect during the ceremonies in Washington in a few days.

Saddam Hussien was a terrible man and deserved to die, yes it is a shame that Pres. Ford is being over looked but when Tuesday come all eye will be on Ford. You should be happy to live in a country where we are told up to the minute news. I just can't wait to see the video of the execution

Ne, I don't think it's odd, although I'm not saying I approve. Saddam has been in the media a lot more recently, my mom didn't even know who Gerald Ford was.

Saddam's death just happened 45 minutes ago. Its breaking news. Do you think they should just stop posting news about anyting else other than President Ford? I do not see it as overshadowing anything.

I think maybe it's the other way around. "They" are using Gerald Ford's funeral to distract from Saddam Hussein's execution. Doesn't it seem like "they" are in an all fired hurry to hang Saddam? "They" realize that "they" have until Tuesday to get the deed done.
