Does Mountain Dew really lower sperm count?
I heard it from a friend.

Many people think that Yellow Dye No. 5, which is found in regular mountain dew, causes either one's testicles to shrink, one's penis to shrink, or a lowered sperm count. None of these are true. Many other food products contain yellow dye no. 5, and none of these cause negative effects pertaining to teh male reporoductive system. This rumor was spurred since the food and drug administration labeled products containing yellow dye no. 5 with a warning. This was not because it caused damage to the male reproductive system, but because it caused allergic reactions in some people. So the next time you're about to go to bed with your man, don't worry if he's been drinking mountain dew!

I've heard this as well. I remember reading some place that it may lower sperm count, but not enough to cause any damage. Do not think that because a guy drinks a ton of Mountain Dew that he will not get you pregnant.

not true my hubby drinks nothing but mountain dew lol no water no coffee nothing every once in a while milk but not usually and we have 2 kids and another on the way. a 7 yr old a 1 1/2 yr old and 5 wks left for our newest. so as you can see it does nothing to the sperm

doesn't lower your sperm count but it does make the load taste sweeter then not drinking Mountain Dew

Soda in general is bad for you, but for sperm.. Never heard that before.

maybe if you like pour it on and let it kill the poor little things. I don't think you should try it as an oral contraceptive
