It's easy. First just open itunes. Then go to "file" then click "add file to library" this will open up a window for you to upload your songs to the ipod library. (you can either add a file or if your songs are all in the same folder you can choose "upload folder") That will add your songs to itunes. Then to add them to your ipod, just plug your ipod into your computer. It will most likely plug in below your cd drive. Open itunes and it should automatically update. It will say "updating ipod" at the top center of your screen. It will also say "don't disconnect." You can also click "file" and "update ipod" and it will add the songs that way too.

Well, you have to get those songs onto Cds. Then, you put them in your cd spot in your computer and wait till you see what comes up. Then, you have to put a check in the box beside the song you want to be putting on your iPod. Go to the right hand corner of that page and click import. Then, in a few seconds to a minute, you'll have that uploaded. Now, you need to go to your library and see that song and drag it over to the little playlist that says your iPod or whatever and then go to File at the top, click update your iPod towards the bottom of that list and then it should be on there. Then just unplug your iPod and enjoy!!!
And by the way, I do know what the hell I'm talking about. I've had my iPod for a year.

open itunes...then open the shared folder and see if you can drag the songs into itunes. if not right click the song file>open with>...choose program then a new window will open and click itunes and make sure u check the box which says "Always use the selected program blah blah blah" and click okay. the window will go away and double click on your music file and it should play from itunes while adding itself to it at the same time. hope this helps!

by the way DO NOT listen to that chick who is telling you to put all of your songs on a CD...she doesnt know what the hell shes talking about lol.

There is really no way to make a song smaller. But just take all
songs you have and put them onto itunes. Then put as many allowed on your ipod. Hope This Helped !
