Every night before I go to sleep I mast.urbate. I don't know if it is an addiction or a habit. Does anyone else go through this?

You could call it a habit, but to be an addiction or to qualify as one I think you would have to be unable to sleep without it. Wikpedia says on addiction" Addiction is now narrowly defined as "uncontrolled, compulsive use"; if there is no harm being suffered by, or damage done to, the patient or another party, then clinically it may be considered compulsive, but to the definition of some it is not categorized as "addiction". " Now unless you are suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome or were unable to control the masturbation(for instance, when sleeping on the couch with family and friends in the room) then I think it is safe to not label yourself addictive. Be well.

It is normal.
Is Masturbation Normal?
While it once was regarded as a perversion and a sign of a mental problem, masturbation now is regarded as a normal, healthy sexual activity that is pleasant, fulfilling, acceptable and safe. It is a good way to experience sexual pleasure and can be done throughout life.
Masturbation is only considered a problem when it inhibits sexual activity with a partner, is done in public, or causes significant distress to the person. It may cause distress if it is done compulsively and/or interferes with daily life and activities.
Is Masturbation Harmful?
In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behavior. Some cultures and religions oppose the use of masturbation or even label it as sinful. This can lead to guilt or shame about the behavior.
Some experts suggest that masturbation can actually improve sexual health and relationships. By exploring your own body through masturbation, you can determine what is erotically pleasing to you and can share this with your partner. Some partners use mutual masturbation to discover techniques for a more satisfying sexual relationship and to add to their mutual intimacy.

It sound like a little of both. You have become accustomed to this process, it helps you relax, and your body would probably have a hard time sleeping without it if it's something you've been doing for a while. If you are still a teenager or younger, I would guess you'll probably grow out of it. If you are older and this has been going on for a while, you may want to talk to your doctor about another way to relax and vent your stress. I don't see why it would be harmful though, unless it bothers you.

I do it! It gives me that little bit of satisfaction before I go to sleep. If my boyfriend isn't around, I need something to put me to sleep! haha. It may just be a habit, but I wouldn't think too much about it. If it makes you happy then who cares? Enjoy your bedtime orgasms!

If you enjoy it then it's okay. It probably is just a phase and you'll find you don't want to do it as often but if you do continue doing it daily, it's normal.
