If you are replacing the current drive with the new one slave the old one and simply drag&drop the files from the old drive to the new drive. If all of you music is in one folder just drag&drop the entire folder.
If it is two separate computers use a LAN connection with either a crossover cable (PC to PC), or a hub\switch\router connection.
You could even place the old drive in a cheap USB drive housing and transfer it via USB.
Hope this helps.

I doubt it would fit even on a dual layer DVD.
Assuming your new hard drive will be installed as the master drive, you might want to just add your old one as a slave and just transfer them over through Windows Explorer and then uninstall your old hard drive after the files are transferred already.

If you have room for two drives in your computer make your old one the 'slave' or secondary drive and install the new drive as the master.
Once it is formatted you can transfer the music to the new drive or if it were me I'd just leave it on the slave......but I would make a dvd(s) backup; as I do with all my music and photographs.

Just keep your old hard drive installed and install new one as main. This way you can keep all your music on a seperate hard drive. Or your new drive should come with software to transfer all your settings programs and files over.

You can split it and do 4 gig at a time on a 4 gig flash drive. Cheap and fast and easy.
You can also hook your new drive up to the CD Rom drive cable and transfer them that way.

that will fit into 3 dvds
Or you can use an USB flash drive and move the stuff.
But if you are getting the new drive into the same computer, just transfer the files to the new drive..

Try compressing the files into a zip or rar file first, if you use winrar you can split up the files so they will fit on DVDs, CDs or whatever size you want.

A couple of DVDs or it may just squeeze onto 1 Dual-layer DVD...
Failing that, just pop both drives in at once and copy from one to the other.
