I saw a black & white movie about 1.5 to 2 years ago on cable that was done in the old film noir/detective style. I only caught the last few minutes but it was definitely a recent movie with a cast of recognizable actors from today. What is the name of that movie?

The only thing I can think of is "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid." It's a comedy, with Steve Martin. I doubt that's what you're talking about, but it's a good movie nonetheless.

i can't keep in thoughts the call of the action picture, inspite of the indisputable fact that it stars Dick Powell, Claire Trevor, and Mike Mazurky. I keep in thoughts the action picture, and it has the narration you're searching for. Sorry i could not be extra help.
