I am trying to figure out what is the most commonly purchased size of woman's dress in the USA .

I wouldnt know, but my mom wears a 10 and thats the size that stores usually have in bulk. They sell out pretty fast! i'm a size 0-2 though and they always have my size despite everyone saying that everyone has to be thin!

Target has a few rather inexpensive, simple maxi dresses available online. Torrid, though not so cheap, has a few great options. Rainbow, I've also noticed recently, has a few cute options. You just have to hunt. I know from experience it can be incredibly difficult to find inexpensive, fashionable plus size clothes. But if you're willing to spend just a few more dollars, there are some great options out there.

Most popular? Probably size 8. Most common? Apparently size 16. I thought it had been 12, but I'm wrong. Of course most women have children and that sort of ruins their figures...

I think it's 8 or 10, because they are always sold out of these sizes they are so popular.

It's 12. I know this because i used to be a 12 and when I read it in a magazine a while back I was happy that I was "average."

2-4...that's what i am and have trouble finding this size. ...maybe they don't make enough of them.
