Install iTunes on your computer. Attach the USB cable that came with the iPod to the iPod and a USB port on your computer. Insert CD into CD drive. Copy songs from CD to iTunes. Use iTunes to load songs onto iPod. Listen to iPod. Simple, right?

I also got an ipod for Christmas. Being the daughter of a geek it was pretty easy for me to figure out how to use it.
First what you want to do is "rip" the songs from your cd. If you've got Windows Media Player go to the "Rip" tab and select the songs you want, then click "Start Rip"
After you've put the songs on your computer connect your ipod to the computer. Drag the songs you ripped to the sync list then click the "Start Sync" button. Simple as that!
Hope it helps ^_^

Well first you need to put the songs on the computer and then to the ipod. Put the Cd's on the computer and then rip/copy them to your music library. Once you have the songs on the computer you use the usb cable that came with the ipod and sync the songs to the ipod. Well I hope you get it. Good luck.

Put your CD into your CD reader in your computer, Open Itunes then select the song and copy them ( by selecting copy from your File menu) into your computer.

then go to ITunes File> add folder to library>my computer>my music> iTUnes > iTunes music. Then select the folder with the music of your CD and click o.k.

Next time you plug your iPod on your PC all your music in iTunes will transfer.

Good luck to you and happy new year
