I have planned on having a party with my friends for about a month on New Years Eve, and as of today, they are all planning on going on vacation with each other, or either, going over to the other ones house. I have not done anything to them in a mean manner, and have just talked to them on the phone, party-line, and they all told me how excited they were. I spent $100 on this party, and now, it's a no show.I'm crying over the 100 dollars that I will not get back, and am sooooooooo mad, i cannot even put into words... WHAT SHOULD I DO....?WHATS YOUR OPINION

i'd be pissed. why dont you call up a few guy friends and maybe some girls you dont know all that well. you could tell them it's a "get-to-know-you party" to ring in the new year.

That's really sad and I feel for you. I have to ask--are you on good terms with your friends? Why wouldn't they have asked you to join their party(ies)? Think about it, or perhaps ask the question of them. I'm not sure what you spent $100 on, but if it is not perishable, you can probably get your money back if you kept a receipt. If not, take your stuff and enjoy New Year's Eve by yourself--you may enjoy some "me" time. Good luck.

Invite other people. Try as many people as you can and thn eventually your friends will come from the jealosy. Don't worry. make the tickets like a dollar and try to invite like 100 people. Trust me i am way more mad and in unexplainable madness. I wasted 50 bucks on 8 fish that died 4 hours after I bought them. Hope you enjoy and get your money back on New Years. Happy New Years!

I would be like you, mad. I think they owe you an explanation. You must tell them all to explain the matter, and also never do a party for people who don't appreciate you effort. Especially for those who are hypocrites and tells you that they are going elsewhere.

Happy New Year! and prepare your goals for 2007.

Tell your friends that you put alot of money into this party and you are very hurt that they decided to not come to it. They were selfish and rude and honestly....real friends don't do that to real friends. Unless they apologize PROFUSELY and offer to help pay you back for your expenses, I'd say find new friends.

Sorry about your party.....please try to have a good new years anyway. :)

Are ALL your friends not coming? Or did you just invite you closest friends? If you just invited your closest friends I say, don't sweat it. So they planned other things, so what. Unless you can get them to cancel and stick with your party your out of luck. You should invite some people you know who you can stand and hang out with occasionally to come to your party. Who knows, it might turn out to be funner than you'd expected.

I know from where you're coming. I once threw a party and spent the money on steaks... No one showed. You now know who your friends are. Count your blessing and move on. Life is too short.

That is not cool. They should at least invite you to what they are doing. And someone should compensate you for at least part of the $100.

Drink the booze if you are of age and donate the food to a church after you've gorged yourself. Or have a food fight with yourself.
