I'm pretty good at it. (age 54)

Heard a specialist give a seminar who said there is a personality type (don't remember what he called US) who is very soft spoken (introverted) and very analytical.

Said this group of people, when ask will tell you everything wrong with something - from A to Z, and can provide 1 to 100 examples for each letter. He said the frustrating thing was, they are usually right in all their reasons and details.

Said a person in this group will come in and say, they are not happy with something. But since they only say about 1-3 sentences, and they are not LOUD, or appear to be upset - the bosses ignore the issue. But the 3rd time they come in and mention a similar event, they say I QUIT. And leave.

I'm 54. Worked for state government for 30+ years. Most at an agency that worked as a consultant for other agencies. If they had a problem, we came in and determined the best solution and I designed/built the computer system for it. Part of the process was to be able to identify all of the people who would impact a project, identify their personality type, and determine the best way to deal with them.

From experience, the type of personlity that I hate the most were SNIPERS. SNIPERS are people who usually want attention and get it by cutting everybody around them down. The best 2 options for dealing with this type, is either try to match their shots (very difficult to do) or to just ignore them (impossible to do).

Spent the last 8 years working with public safety/law enforcement agencies. Being around them taught me there is a 3rd option....have the person wacked! Quick and it provides the best solution. You just have to learn to live with yourself and the guilt for doing it. ?

Is that really abnormal? I thought I was just slightly more intelligent than the average. It's amazing, especially from a business standpoint, to see how truly like herd animals humans are. Not just one person decides to go shopping, thousands decide all at once to venture out. And then we all wonder why everything is crowded when we go there. I live in a tourist town, and everyone asks me why the town is soo full, and they can't get a room anywhere. And I answer "Did you think you were the only ones who decided to visit the beach this weekend?". The most amazing part is that I am absolutely certain that I too am part of the herd instinct. To think that I am above the behaviour would be asinine. Every time I go to the bank, lines, lines, lines. Either great minds think alike, or my theory, simple minds are easily pursuaded into similar behaviors.

No, I tend to miss the patterns and danger signs. Just call me the Will Robinson of human behavior, without Robot.

Yes, unfortunately I do... and lately I've been wishing I didn't have abnormal abilities like that, it would make it much easier to fit in. My intuition might be too strong.

Unfortunately, yes.
I can see discreet patterns within social groups.
This is more of a curse than a blessing.
Sometimes I see things I don't want too.

Actually, I don't think it's so abnormal...people are creatures of habit and the majority are easy to figure out.

i do, it seems so easy for some and to be honest, i think its a telepathic ability, not know their past but but be able to predoct what they'll do in certain situations. i'm really good at doing that....its like knowing someone w/out really knowing them. do you get it?
