You don't turn gay...it's biological...part of your genetic being. Some people are born gay, others heterosexual. Just be accepting of everyone and make the world a better place.

Peace & Happy New Year!

First, ignore Happy Traveler, because he's one of those creepy, scary people who just regurgitates stuff he's been brainwashed into believing.
I honestly think that this is NOT a matter of opinion, and time will tell what the truth is--but I've never met a single gay person who claims to have chosen to be gay. Not one.

They don't 'turn' gay, or "decide" to be. They don't choose the chemical imbalance that occurs before birth where the baby gets too much of either estregin or testosterone. Most unborn babies don't really have a say in that.

So what, are you saying there's something WRONG with them? Even if they DID choose to be gay, is that any of your business? NO. It's not like it's contagious. Oh wait. You probably think that too. You prejudiced biggot.

Some are molested as children.
Some experiment with drugs.
Some experiment with sex.
Some are looking for the love of an absent loving parent figure.
No matter how they become homosexual, it is still ultimately choice. Read why this is true and why they want people to believe the lie that it's something they just can't help.

"The idea of a so-called "gay gene" was invented by homosexual activists as an argument that would help their cause. For the past fifteen years, those leading the movement to normalize homosexuality have staked their political strategy on claims that homosexuality is an inherited trait, like left-handedness, for a significant minority of human beings. Homosexuality, they have argued, is thus a "natural" condition and thus is not morally significant. Indeed, if homosexuality is natural, they argue, discrimination against homosexuals would be wrong.".."Two of the most significant scientists pressing the case for a genetic link are Dean Hamer of the National Cancer Institute and Simon LeVay, a neuroscientist formerly with the Salk Institute. Among those arguing for a biological basis of homosexuality, Hamer is the establishment expert; LeVay is the passionate evangelist. In fact, LeVay has left the task of scientific research to others, and now works mainly as a homosexual activist. He sees the biological case as essential to overcoming claims that homosexual behavior is sinful. "A genetic component in sexual orientation says 'This is not a fault, and this is not your fault.'"

Nobody really knows, the only scientific facts that everyone agrees on are:

1) Males are more likely to be gay if they have an older brother.

2) Gay people in studies show similar physical arousal when they see a the same sex as heterosexuals do when they see the opposite. Sounds simple but it wouldn't be true if it were a conscious choice.

why did you choose your race? You didn't, nor do gay people choose to be gay. We just are. I can't speak for all, but if I could choose to be straight I would. I even tried for a while but the attraction for women is not there. Those preaching that it is a choice are idiots.

People don't "turn" gay. They don't wake up one day and say "I'm going to be gay, that will be fun". Some of it is based on looking for answers to relationships they haven't figured out how to behave in. Relating to people intimately is caught and taught, if you didn't have good role models in that area, you kind of have to try to figure what feels right on your own.

We also tend to pigeon hole people who don,t act or sound or look as we expect for their gender as gay. Many aren't but others cannot get past that characteristic, and they start to believe what they are told.

Our society is constantly bombarding us with sexual, sensual images, everywhere we go. Only in a room of a home with no TV can you get away from it at times. Girls dress like hookers, men and women move in sensual ways, whether male or female, our own bodies react to the smut we see. Once we are "on" we can associate that with what else is happening around us. As we fall to our lusts, our lusts get bigger. We find ourselves thinking and doing things we wouldn't otherwise think we would. Besides, we are constantly told we are just animals and we can't help the way we were made. So, why even try to fight temptation to do things that (we know deep down) are wrong.

Many Homosexuals were sexually abused while young. Bodies do react to sexual touch sometimes against our wishes. Someone might think that on some level they like being touched and think they must be "gay". And to work out their feelings they experiment again, and wonder of wonders, yes, the body does respond to physical touch. "Must be gay" they think. Some even show a young friend about what they have experienced, and the body once again does it's job.

Sex and sensuality is for a husband and wife. When one counters it at a young age, and has had it forced upon them, or has experimented because it was available, one is not ready to handle it. Instead of keeping our children pure we start teaching them about sex from the time they can sit down to TV and watch the "Dukes of Hazard" or any other prime time show. Most of it goes over their heads, but not all of it does. In school, they are taught that they are just animals and sex is just something animals do, instead of the special gift for a husband and wife.

There is no end to the sins we have multiplied to ourselves, and those sins cause more sins, and their consequences build up, and one of those consequences is the sin of homosexuality. Even if you are caught in this sin yourself do you really want to encourage the young ones to get into it? Do you hate them that much? Homosexual die an average of 20 years younger, and are at a higher risk for most STD's. I wouldn't wish the physical (let alone emotional and spiritual) consequences of homosexuality on my worst enemy let alone someone I love.

Jesus REALLY can set you free. He loves you. He died for ALL your sins. There is hope, if you don't want to sleep in your sin anymore. He is the only way to a relationship with God. God made you in His image, but sin has distorted that image. He wants to clean you up and bring you home. YOu don't have to do it alone. YOu can't clean yourself up enough. But He can and He already paid the price, all you haveto do is accept the cleansing. If you make Him Lord, then you will spend eternity with Him. If you make yourself, your sin, or anything else your lord, you will spend eternity with that in the filthiness of your sin. By then you will know that He is Lord, but it will be too late and you will spend eternity with none of His mitiagating grace and all your sins and their consequences.Come to Him and obey Him. He can help you make the right choices even when it is hard.

I never turned anything. I have just been me all my life, and when I got older I realized that 1) I was not straight and 2) the word for people like me was bisexual. I didn't choose my sexual orientation anymore then I choose my eye color man.

People don't "turn" gay; they're born that way. Some just come out of the closet sooner than others. Some gays even go so far as to marry someone of the opposite sex as a coverup. It is shocking to some women when they discover their husband has a male lover.

i believe that people's sexual orientation is developed based on a combination of biology and the nurturing they receive in their first 5 years of life..

people don't magically turn on a gay switch, they just may take many years to realize their true feelings..

society tells us all to be straight, but in reality, most people have bi tendancies..

some are sexually attacted to the same sex, some are romantically attracted to the same sex, and most are platonically attracted to the same sex..
