i went in the chapel and cleared both levels of that and now im stuck on the town board unable to find another way out of the town

It has been a long time since I played Diablo 1. If I remember correctly you go into the chapel and from there you go to all of the levels of the games. I think there were 15 of them. To long ago to remember well. I can not remember if there is a cave near Wert the pegged leg boy either. That may be in the expansion that was put out for Diable. I know the expansion also added may new levels and entrances around town.
Come to think of it I think there were 3-4 shortcuts to different levels of the games but they only became active when you got to the levels from the Chapel. The chapel took you to level 4. after that other shortcuts became avtive at 8, 12 and 14 I think level 15 was diablo's level.

In Diablo 1, you can just run around the levels until you find the staircase to the next lower level. I believe it always works. Good luck & have fun! :)

don't you have to do something for Griswall or something like that before you can get out of town? Maybe the drunk guy also had a quest for something... I recall, but its been a while since I've played that game.

its been in my experience if that happens theres always something i forgot to do or find!!
