We had to look at photos of all the people he killed....

I would watch it if it were shown. Why should we only show violence against the innocent? Why not show the grim reality of the death of an evil doer-even down to the point where he sh*** himself.

I think it SHOULD have been shown. Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't do it New Years Eve in the same way they drop the ball in Times Square...THREE...TWO...ONE...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Its the acutal killing of a person.

I strongly dislike Saddam and completely disagree with everything he has done but showing the death of someone on TV/PPV is wrong by every standard that the US has set for televised events.

People who were effected by a loss of a loved one (rather it was by his own hand or by any military action in which a soldier was killed that Saddam caused) should be given invitation. Those who were not effected should not see it. You didnt lose anything but money

Not to mention how much bs the US would catch from other political groups and religious groups from around the world.

Do you really want to watch executions on television? If Saddam's is shown, then we are one step away from showing state executions. Why not just make them all public, just drag the condemned out to the nearest tree and hang him. Could be good for the economy - someone could sell popcorn while others offered souvenirs and t-shirts. Or each state could build an arena where the condemned could battle it out with the lions while the public looked on and cheered. Please, let's not cross that line. Saddam is dead. He saw death coming and was, like his victims, afraid. Let it go at that.

Showing his execution now might cause more violence against American troops. They don't see Saddam as being executed by their own government, they feel it is just a puppet government controlled by the US. I think noone should see the execution until months after it occurs then possibly it won't encite as much violence.

I think that we as humans must respect the life itself, show and handle the execution of a human being as a Freak Circus Show doesn't make us better than the person that was executed, it's not our role to judge him, now he'll be judged by God who's the only one who can make a statement

The Iraqis sort of have to prove it happened so there will have to be some visual proof. It's all pretty creepy though.
