For one thing, hate is an emotion that allows that person to still have control over you. You must find a way to deal with this hate and let it go.

I found that doing more things just for me helped. I completed my Master's degree and become involved with new activities. I also wore a rubber band around my wrist to remind me. When thoughts of hate and anger came into my head I snapped the band and made myself thing of the bright future I had instead of the ugly past. It eventually trained me to give up the hate (and his control over me).

there is only one way i know to get over the hate, give it to the lord, and know that he will handle it, hate will only destroy u, as this person could care less if u hate them or not, just hurts u, and your chances of moving on and finding love again. hatred causes us to become bitter. the sweetest revenge is to move on, never speak to him again, and succeed in life, do well, find joy, and love. and don't give this person another thought, it was also done to me, took awhile, but made it through with the help of Jesus Christ.

The answer to this, all begins with you. You hating this person, isn't causing them to lose any sleep at night is it? The only thing that you can do is let go of it. When you hold on to hate, the only person that is really suffering is you.
