My fiance and I are living together, and we do not want to have to deal with child support, however we do not want to have to get married just to avoid it, is there a way around it or do you have to be married to not have a child support order?

The only way you will have child support ordered is if you go to court for it! If you do nothing, then nothing will be ordered!!!

My ex and I had our son and weren't married. Because I did not wish to file for court ordered support, yes the state approached me for information to file, not the other way around, I was not allowed to keep receiving my Medicaid because they said I refused to cooperate with Child Support Enforcement. But a few years later when I needed to file for it, we were no longer together and he was not helping take care of out son at all, I had all of the paperwork I needed because he had signed the birth certificate and a paternity affidavit when my little boy was born. Just make sure you have those things just in case Better safe than sorry. I would say why not go ahead, the money will come right back into your home, in retrospect in my case it would have been better to do it from the beginning and I am thankful for the aid they help me get from his father now.

No. There is no way out of child support. The courts do not care about you or your "fiance" if you can call him that. The courts just care about the well being of the child. If the child is not getting enough money in the eyes of the court, they will make someone pay, regardless of whether you or your "fiance" waive the right to child support. It is not your right to waive. It is the childs right. And since children don't have any rights until they are 18, the courts usually decide for them.

There is no way you can get out of it. Period.

Not sure you'll have to check your state law on child support for minors. Most of the time if there is a minor involved whether married or not they'll be child support (but you have to go to court to get it). That may be your way out. You must be very wealthy?

You will have to get a child support order if you try to get public assistance. Other than that, you don't need the courts involved.

Your question is not clear enough.............child support for who?
Your child? his child?........

If he is a father he should pay for his children.....................if you are a mother then you should request child support for you children, even if you dont need the money you could always put it away for their future?

If no one ask for it they can't order it.
