I totally believe this. My grandfather passed away last May and the night before he died, my 4 year old son woke up crying that he needed to save his Poppy. He was very close to my Pop, but did not know that he was dying (I did not know at the time what I should tell him, so I just waited until after he died to tell him Poppy went to Heaven). My son just knew that something was wrong. I have seen many signs from loved ones who have passes. Your Grandfather must have known that your mother needed some real rest and wanted to tell her that he was OK and it was time for him to move on. She should feel lucky to have gotten such a message, not all people get that. Good Luck and I am sorry for your loss:(

well, i say this is my story...

its something that really happened when I was about 10. There was a place up the road from my house that we called the "Flower Gardens". It was 3 houses built around a huge garden with a huge fountain in the middle. It had been abandoned for a long time, probably 40 years. One Halloween night I was with my older brother and two of his friends trick or treating and we went there for some reason, and as we walked down the path (which was really a carriage trail) up to a two story house in the back we heard a loud tapping noise coming from the house. We were probably 100 feet from the house and we all stopped and looked. On the top floor there was a very clear bright white face looking out of the window and a bright white hand was tapping the window with one finger. That's all we could see. we freaked out and ran about 2 miles back to my house and one of the older kids was so scared he actually fainted when we were telling my mother about it. My father drove us back there and we all went in the house with him and shining the flashlight up toward the window on the inside you could see that the floor that whoever it was would have been standing on wasn't even there anymore, there was no where at all to stand in that window because over time people had taken wood out of the house and it was mostly gutted.

I'm sure it was someone playing a trick on us, but I don't know how and 30 years have gone by and none of us have ever figured out anyone at all that could have or would have done that. The place was completely empty all the time and we were the only kids in the neigborhood, so whoever it was would have to have been just hanging out there.

That's not a legend or a story, but it's the creepiest thing I have ever been through.

When my paw-paw was dying he kept telling my mother(his daughter in-law) that there was a beautiful angel sitting in his window. After three day's of this he reached toward the window and passed. I'm not saying it's proof of anything just telling you what happened.

I sometimes feel a strong presence about me. But my ghost tends to be a bit on the naughty side

I have heard of similar things happening, one good friend had a young son who spoke to grandma, usually seen in the car window while driving around town.

wow, that is odd, but there are no such things as ghosts.... it was probably a dream that she made up from thoughts of what she was thinking before falling asleep.
She was probably thinking, what happens if he dies, what are we going to do, no wait, what am I going to do, I can't do anything without him...and so on and so on...
she probably thought it and well then it was just his time to go... and it just so happened that it was that night of her dream, I am sorry for your loss though!

That's a very cool story, but it could also be proof of that collective consciousness Jung talked about. They could have been talking through that.
