George Bush has started an ill-timed and disastrous war under false pretenses by lying to the American people and to the Congress; he has run a budget surplus into a severe deficit; he has consistently and unconscionably favored the wealthy and corporations over the rights and needs of the population; he has destroyed trust and confidence in, and good will toward, the United States around the globe; he has ignored global warming, to the world's detriment; he has wantonly broken our treaty obligations; he has condoned torture of prisoners; he has attempted to create a theocracy in the United States; he has appointed incompetent cronies to positions of vital national importance.

Now, would someone please give him a ******** so we can impeach him?

The funniest joke in the world:
A couple of New Jersey hunters are out in the woods when one of them falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing, his eyes are rolled back in his head.

The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps to the operator: "My friend is dead! What can I do?"

The operator, in a calm, soothing voice, says: "Just take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead."

There is a silence, then a shot is heard. The guy's voice comes back on the line. He says: "Okay, now what?"

The Second Funniest Joke ever:
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson goes on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retire for the night, and go to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend.

'Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes," replies Watson.

"And what do you deduce from that?"

Watson ponders for a minute.

"Well, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three.

"Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe. What does it tell you, Holmes?"

Holmes is silent for a moment. 'Watson, you idiot!" he says. "Someone has stolen our tent!"

Make a list of all the things you like about yourself, or things you feel you're good at, and compliments people have given you. That should help for a start. Then think of 3 good things that happened to you today or yesterday, that you're thankful for. Sometimes this may actually be something bad that you're thankful DIDN'T happen! Then think of one fun thing you're going to do for yourself or for someone else tomorrow, that will give you something to look forward to. After that, take a bubble bath or do your nails, it always helps to pamper yourself, and have a good sleep. I hope tomorrow's a better day!

Yeah, Cheer up dude; it's about to be New year's eve, and you have to start getting in the spirit.
This might be a good time for you to try writing a song, or some poetry, or interesting prose.
Tomorrow's a NEW DAY!

I'm sorry you're in a bad mood! Moods come and go, 'tho, don't they?

So try to do something you enjoy: read a book, listen to music, think about the good things in your life. Write down all the things you're grateful for in a journal. Write in it when you feel down. Or, when you are feeling good.

Moods pass. Before you know it, you'll be feeling better!

Me N,
Hey!
I have a plate in my neck! My voice is wrecked! My hands have lost some sensation and dexterity, and I am still ok!

I always try to find the silver lining in everything!
I am a complete idiot!
Nothing gets me down!
I alway have the same crap for dinner and lunch, but no one serves me breakfast (I live alone and do all my own cooking, but hey... I can dream...).
I talk to my dog and my car...
...could be worse I guess so you should at least be happy!
Are you happy yet?
You would be if you had a DVD of my last couple of years, as it would be quite the sitcom. "The I wonder why years!"

Think positive, smile, breathe a few deep breaths, look around you, focus on something there that you like, remember tomorrow is a new day, with the possibility of more than one pleasant surprise. Think positive, smile, breathe a few deep breaths, and then sleep a restful sleep knowing tomorrow will be a better day.:) And hey I'm sure your friends will be on line by then.....

It would help to know what you are bummed about.
But for basic cheering up, I know this sounds silly, but make a list of the things in your life that are positive.

Geez-it's hard to cheer someone up if you don't know why they're down, but let's see...maybe thinking about the good friends you have and how much they care about you would help you to feel better. How about turning on something funny on tv? Something that always makes me feel better is to write down what's on my mind, and often when I read it back, I instantly feel better. I hope you feel better.

hey, whatever is bothering you, I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be better. remember that as bad as you may feel right now, someone out there is feeling a whole lot worst. like today, my friend's dog died, and she feels really bad. i don't know if that makes you feel better or not. you'll be okay.
