Menstrual cramps is what causes pain during my period. However, every women is different. Some women can experience pain in their pelvic area, back, and legs; while others have no pain at all. If your menstrual cycle is regular and you know when it will be on, it is best to start taking meds the week prior to your cycle to prevent the cramps...applying a heat pad helps as well.

Yep most of my life much better after I had a kid though. The cramping is usually little blood clots Think of your Fallopian tubes being like a size of a small straw and your trying to pass a huge gum ball though it. Ouch!
I exercise doing a cat where you arch your back out and stretch and curl up in a ball . Then I also use a heating pad on the tummy at night.I also take midol when its really bad. also what helps is to eat a lot of fiber vegetables at this time when you eliminate your BM it pushes against the clot helping it to come out faster. Thus no more pain.
Hope this helps

It depends. Some people get awful cramps, others hardly feel a thing. It helps if you drink a lot of water when it's around that time, and avoid caffeine and alcohol. I usually only get cramps when i don't follow that advice =) And I never really got them until I turned 20.

Not all women have cramps but it usually comes with it. Thats the only thing that really hurts when you do have them. You will be more tender during that time. Talk to your mom about it and if your not comfy talking to her talk to someone at school, a teacher or counselor you trust.

Yes. Less so if I've been physically active. I prefer Advil (ibuprofen) for my cramps. 200 mg, twice a day.

your period is not SUPPOSED to hurt. many women believe that is natural but it is not. nothing to freak out about it could just be a hormone thing but you sould talk to your doctor about this. good luck & say goodbye to pain by talking to your doctor
