We went out for dinner and I gift wrapped the home pregnancy test up and gave him. It was so hard waiting to see his reaction though I was bursting to tell him as we had been trying for 5yrs.

I took a silver keepsake baby rattle and had "Our 1st Bundle of Joy" engraved on it. My husband had already made a dinner date for my birthday anyways... So, I waited til he had went to wash his hands and I laid the beautiful baby rattle on the table next to his drink. He came back and seen it with a very puzzled look. Then a big smile started coming over his face. He was VERY excited. He blurted " I'm really going to be a DAD?" I shook my head yes and he about knocked me out of my chair hugging me.
He was a VERY excited soon to be dad.
He still has the best surprise over me though. He had an Excellent proposal and very well planned. I couldn't of asked for a better engagement surprise.
Good Luck!!

We had been talking about getting a larger car for whatever reason. So, the morning my test was posistive, I called him at work at told him we'll definitely have to trade the car for the larger style he wanted. His response was something like, but we'de only need that if we had a baby. Ding!! He was almost screaming over the phone! For the second kid, I just asked him if I was reading the test correctly, though I knew I was! He freaked out again!

my boyfriend figured out i was pregnant before i did. we've been trying for a while and i didn't wanna get my hopes up, so i was kind of in denial. but when my boobs started hurting and i was having bad gas pains he told me he thought we were pregnant this time. well.. he was right!
I know it may be a while to wait, but you could always schedule an ultrasound and put the pic in an "under construction" frame (walmart baby section). i would have loved to do that.

My mom gave my dad baby clothes wrapped up like a present and waited for it to dawn on him =).
I cooked a meal with things like baby carrots and baby corn, baby shrimp... and well you get the idea. =)
