Okay, I am pregnant with my second baby and I'm gonna be 40 wks on the 3rd of January...I saw my doctor on the 28th and he said that he isn't gonna let me go past 41 wks so within the next two wks we are gonna have a baby for sure. I am not dilating at all, so almost sure that I am gonna have to be induced. With my first child I went into labor a week and a half before she was due and had her all natural, so I don't know what indution feels like....everyone tells me that it hurts soo muh more and it increases the risk of having to have a c-section. Walking is not an option for me because of the horrible pains I get ALL over my stomach when I do and well sex hasn't been very appealing to me so what else can I do to avoid needing to induce...
whos had to induce? How did it feel? Was it worse? Did yours end up in a c-section?

I was induced, while I have nothing else to compare it with, it wasn't that bad. I did end up with a c- section because instead of being face down, he was face up and would not drop into the birth canal and my blood pressure was high and my epiduals were not working. I think that if you are induced it will be ok and not as scary as some people make it seem. Good Luck!

First of all, don't be scared! You will be fine. Both of my pregnancies were induced. My sons are as healthy as they can be. Yes it causes the contractions to come faster and harder but that means that it is working. My first induced labor pain was tolerable. I had him all natural without pain medications. My second was more painful and I had an epidural. I never had a c-section. Just go with the flow and trust your doctor. If you can't take the pain then get an epidural. Do not stress yourself. Rest as much as you can and get ready to see your baby's face for the first time. Its a wonderful feeling!

I was induced with my 2nd and it seems the pains were a bit worse, but I cured that with an epidural! Smooth sailing from there. No c-sections here!! Don't worry. If you have to be induced, it'll be fine. Honestly, I've never heard that induction increases your chances of c-section. News to me!

Good luck!!

I have 4 kids. I was induced with the last 3. Induction does hurt, but it's about the same as natural birth, except it goes quicker. I had natural births along with the induction. Good luck!

Everyone is different. My first child was a premi. by c section. My second was a c section by no choice. My best friend had hers induced and she does not remember much do to the drugs. Don't let other stories scare you. Laber hurts all together. no one is the same!

My wife had to induce. I remember her being very scared when she found out that the doctor was recommending it. I stayed by her side, held her hand and brought her some fruit punch from the hospital cafeteria. I think the key thing you need to remember when inducing labor is fruit punch.
