i got a bulb that doesnt light but still connected to the electric( i meant it is switch on). today, a storm(rain) came & suddenly a lightning flashes and i heard thunder. that bulb suddenly shines (for maybe 5-10 minutes) and when the rain is over the bulb doesnt light again. Can some1 explain?

Maybe, if it is a regular incandescent bulb, some jolt (or maybe even the power surge) got the filament to complete the circuit, and just by coincidence, the circuit was broken about when the storm ended.
Or maybe if it was a florescent bulb, something shorted or connected on it's (very basic) circuit board.
If it was an LED or some other form of bulb, thats just weird.

The filament in the bulb was probably broken - with a very small gap between the break - the lightning most likely cause a small surge which temporarily fused the filament together - only to burn out shortly afterward.
I bet you were a little freaked out when it happened, eh? Eerie.
Rest assured, there's always a logical explanation.

The charges in the lightening may be caught by the bulb or else it would be something like chamatkar.......!!!!!
