It is really incredible. Anyone else notice how the Brits just answer a question that I asked because I was confused about the site that I was on and all the Americans think that you are insulting and attacking them...what is going on? The site says ...quote....'UK & Ireland yahoo answers'...I just wondered if that came up on everyone elses site or are some of us purposely going into another countries site? and if they are? who cares?not me...just wondered. Stop being so bloody sensitive

i am in the US and we have the option of choosing "US questions only" or "all english questions".
however...i have purposely gone to yahoo uk, and opted for "UK/Ireland questions".
i love talking with brits (and others) and so that's why i am here.
i apologize for any jerks you have come across, but we are not ALL the same.
there are always some on either side of the pond, and they both stink.
(edit)
only since you brought it up...i didn't choose this question for the category...i just chose the question in general...i actually didn't even read the category.
not that it matters...just felt i needed to clear that up about myself. okay...stopping talking now.
(edit)
okay...and i just checked out the first question and wanted to add that even though i love this site, because it is mainly UK...i do try to avoid the questions about law and such...things i wouldn't know anything about. cuz that's just stupid and a waste of time!

Some people just sign in here when they're in a bad mood, they think everyone else is as miserable as them and they think every question is intended as an insult. I've asked perfectly reasonable questions here and gotten nothing but a bunch of people insulting me. Don't let people get to you, they're not worth it.

By the way, just a piece of friendly advice - before you submit your question check the category. Your question is appearing in 'Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered' (probably because your question contains the word 'confused').

I answered your other question and tried to explain why Americans are answering your questions, I hope my answer helps you.

ALL the Americans?? Thank you so much for lumping me in with the other Americans who were rude to you. Yup, I do get sensitive about being lumped in with mean people since I have always made it a point to be nice to everyone on Y!A.

I calmly let you know what was on my screen and suggested that maybe the English questions cross over to other English-speaking Y!A sites. That was nice, and it answered your question.

Please don't pull a stereotypical American stunt such as making vast generalizations.

Your header is different since your Yahoo service is different. All English language Answers are lumped together, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc.

Assume your questions are likley to be read by people all over the English speaking world. Assume also that just as many people as you think what they're seeing is specific to their country (it is not).

Don't alwyas assume that gays and lesbians will be able to answer your internet technical questions, you lucked out tonight!

Um I'm American and I answered your question without saying anything even remotely insulting. I just said that I thought the UK and US had the same site. I'm slightly insulted that I've been generalised but other than that I'm okay, glad you're question was answered.

Thought your 'additonal' comments were charming. People can be touchy and go off on just about anything. Hope you meet some nicer Americans and Happy New Year!

An interesting twist, during BB7, someone was complaining that a question they had asked in Welsh on the UKIE site had been removed...

You get all kinds on here, but my experience has been that most people are OK. The really stupid questions like 'I'm so embarrassed 'cos my mom is a homemaker' usually come from the US.

The Yahoo icon showing on my website is the U. S. one, yet your question approximately this being a uk and eire website is here. in step with threat there is a few crossover of the questions because of the fact it is predominately English language questions?
