As someone who grew up with a very unique name, I would suggest giving your child a more common name. I don't mean like Jessica, Jennifer and the likes. Something more taditional with a twist. Savannah, Ava and the like. The name you picked out is very pretty but immediately makes me think of make up. Try this, sit down and try to be one of those mean kids at school and see what you could make fun of her for. When you have a name that is pretty solid then you are good!

P.S. For all those who are curious my name is Rendi (just like Randi with and e instead)

Ok coming from someone who just had to name a baby, don't do it. I give you and A for trying to be unique. On the other hand you have to think about this child growing up, the name is too open for teasing. Also you need to think of her profesional life. So many people don't think about there child in a way of an adult she need something that is strong and can help her put her best foot forward in life............

P.S you can still give her a unique name by spelling them in a new way.

I think it's rather pretty. It's feminine and sounds like a name given to some sort of fairy tale princess...but it's bound to get alot of comments regarding the whole Lo'real brand. If that doesn't bother you, go for it!

The problem I have with it is that it makes me think of L'oreal immediately!! L'oreal tests on animals, and also had involvement with the French fascists during world war two. I guess it sounds pretty tho. I love Gabrielle.

I like it but if your worried about ppl make fun of her then how bout you consider LORELEI (pronounced like laura lie) From a Germanic name meaning "luring rock". This is the name of a rock headland on the Rhine River. Legends say that a maiden named the Lorelei lives on the rock and lures fishermen to their death with her song. good luck

Its a pretty good name...but is ought to get many funny comments in school...coming to think of the name i think u can slightly modify it and make it a totally differently sounding name...i think this sounds quite different...try this...larialle or lariolle...i am quite confident no one has ever had this name bfore, plus this sounds crispy, though a little funky. But still...its good and unique!what do u think?...

It's a pretty name, but it's going to get shortened to Laurie. I don't like that as much. We named our daughter Laurel, and it can't be shortened.

As someone who has grown up with a very different name, I am all for giving a child a unique name. I think it is lovely, and she wont ever have to be one of a group of kids all with the same name. :)

My wife says it is a very pretty name...She has a unique name also, so keeping a child unique helps with not having a common name like everyone else
