I'm sorry, I haven't read it. But, I really want to. I don't think that anything should make you want to cut your wrists. I read a really sad book about a bulimic girl and it made that lifestyle seem even less appealing. I think that you should read it, and keep in mind that cutting your wrists or being bad to your body is never the answer, no matter what!

Why would you want to hurt yourself from reading a book? That doesn't make sense at all. If a book depresses you then find something else that makes you happy or that you enjoy.
I remember reading catcher in the rye in high school and that book was depressing and it certainly didn't make me want to slit my wrists over that.
Only read the book as it's written as that person's point of view by keeping that in mind. I haven't read it my self and if it's depressing I certainly won't read it. Life has enough ups and downs as it is
What ever you decide to do read the book or not read the book don't kill yourself over it. Life is too precious and you must tell yourself that you are a valuable person and believe that.

this is not a trilogy anymore because there are 4 books. there is Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras. Tally is about to reveal 16 and he or she is previous excited. not about her license, this is because in Tally's global, instead of licenses, you get something extra effective. You get to have a surgical operation to change into fairly. Tally can't wait because her perfect pal Paris already grew to change into. even as waiting, she bumps right into a lady that has a similar b-day as her, Shay. Shay would not favor to change into fairly inspite of the indisputable fact that. So she runs away. Now Tally has a decision. tell the position Shay ran off to or in no way turn fairly. What ever will she do? i did not extremely look after the series. It change right into a tad extraordinary. speaking homes, hoverboards, and a variety of of different issues. not extremely my flavor.

Are you talking about Uglies by Scott Westerfield? If so, read it! Its a fantastic book, not depressing in the least. If you like it, Pretties and Specials are the second and third in the trilogy.
I can't resist, but have you ever read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer? If you haven't, you really should. Its a beautiful story that you'll read over and over again. If you like it, its sequel is called New Moon.

Have no idea, but I once read a book that was called the history of the Ugli. Fruit that is grown in the West Indies. Truly great reading. If you want to know the origin of certain fruits that were introduced by cross-breeding species.

I haven't actually read it, but I've heard that her life story is pretty horrendous. However, it's one of those 'triumph over adversity' books so it does have an ultimately happy ending. I don't know if that makes it less likely to depress you though.
Perhaps check out the reviews on amazon and see what they say.
