I hope the state and county offices where I work are open. I get no paid holidays and live from paycheck to paycheck. If I lose a day's pay, we eat less and the mortgage payment is very late. Thanx for thinking of ALL the workers besides the high-paid ones who get benefits already, Bush.

You who are bitching at this woman for stating the obvious:

why don't you reach into your pockets and pick up the slack for the money she'll lose? If not, then you should all shut your mouths. It's not your kids who'll go without. If you lost a day of pay, you'd be screaming about it. Like everyone can go get a government job TOMORROW. Just because your Bush takes care of you, doesn't mean he thinks of everyone. I'm so glad repugs don't have the control they once did, but as you can see, they still try to attack the working poor when they can. I'm sorry this president died, but if we lose a day of work over it we should get PAID. Bush doesn't consider this in his little brainfart, though. That is a more fitting tribute to a dead president than this.

President Bush has requested that Tuesday be an official day of mourning for President Gerald Ford. This means no federal offices will be open. Tuesday is the official day.

Its the 2nd of January.
Don't blame Bush for calling a day of mourning for a dead president. And dont get upset that remembering a President takes a little cash away from your paycheck. Nobody else in the entire country would get mad at Bush for calling a Day of Mourning.

Miss A -- maybe it is time to think of a new job? New profession? More education? Work a little harder or a seccond job? Don't blame a current president honoring a previous president for your lack of foresight in planning your career / budget / lifestyle. Americans should pride themselves in being self-sufficient.

Miss A, maybe you need to think about becoming Miss A nother job, or maybe Miss A better job. If your finances are so bad, maybe you need to be working more instead of sitting in front of your computer.
