Where are you?

He is the president.

He's no better than Saddam Hussein. The thing is, he is a front man. He's not the only one making decisions in Washington. I'm not saying there's a secret government or conspiracy, what I'm saying is that Bush isn't the only one to blame. We have this "system" here where things go through filters and get voted and whatnot and [USUALLY] the president isn't the only one making these decisions. Not only that but he shouldn't be and when he does make unauthorized changes there should be punishment for them, although they just keep getting swept under the carpet like they never happened. People wanted Clinton impeached because he lied about getting some head in the White House. People claimed it was an argument of integrity. Why isn't Bush held to these standards?

The "moron"-ic nature of the American people has nothing to do with the ability to acquire power here. Think about this fact: the 5 Supreme Court Justices who helped ease Bush into the White House the first time were not punished at all for what they did. They "got away with" stealing a presidential election. What, if anything, can be done to punish the ones who did that?

The U.S. is inhabited by non-thinking human beings. Most believe in their presidents. Most do not like to be made fools of so when the president does something wrong, they will support him. Many in the United States are not educated. Even the msart ones are 'fed' what to believe.

Yes, the majority of people living on this planet are barely literate and can't critically analyze the world around them. They must be spoon-fed information, and they usually won't question anything "official"-sounding. My Christmas wish was for Santa to drop a few dozen extra IQ points in everyone's stockings, but I guess that'll never happen :(

hard to believe... but yes.
Not exactly morons- but a well orchestrated power base. Bringing out the voters on emotional value issues (abortion and restricting gay people's rights) to support a Republican majority, funded by big business and big oil. It's an incredible and horrible machine. As if it were designed specifically to bring America down to its knees. And- it would take a moron for a leader to allow it to happen.

Not quite, having been 'educated' there I would say a majority of average and below average people (as everywhere) under the influence of systematic brainwashing and indoctrination (as we are now getting). In a generation you won't be able to tell the difference.
