My partner and I have sex on average around 4 times in any given week; and have been for the past 16 months. We do not use any real bith control, beyond pulling out... I was wondering what the probability of pregnancy is if the man pulls out everytime, neither of us are much worried about getting pregnant we plan on getting married; but it seems to have been working so far, and yes I know about pre ejaculate, but I just wanted to know the probability.

you will probaby get a lot of answers saying that you can easily get pregnant. But studies show that it really depends on the man and how much control he has. There are lots of articles if you just google pull out method! Here's part of one of them below

Withdrawal, also known as coitus interruptus or "the pull-out method," has long been used for contraception as a natural response to the discovery that ejaculation into the vagina causes pregnancy. ...This requires much discipline. As orgasm is impending, a man may not withdraw in enough time to prevent semen from escaping into the vagina. Although withdrawal has no known side effects, interruption of the sexual response cycle can greatly diminish the pleasure of a couple. Some couples, however, have worked out these problems and use withdrawal successfully.

If you can't afford condoms or birth control, you shouldn't be having sex! I know 2 friends who got pregnant using the "pull-out" method (which is really no birth control method at all). One got pregnant the first time, the other within 2 months of first having a sexual relationship with her boyfriend. Not good.

And yes, like stated above, even pre-ejaculate can get you pregnant! Pulling out is not a safe or smart method at all!!!! Why are you willing to take this risk?

At least go to Planned Parenthood or something! Why in the world aren't you using real birth control if you are sexually active? Not only that, but how are you protecting yourself from AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases? I know that you state you have had a 16 month relationship with your partner, but that doesn't mean you are ready to have a child with him.

I think the statistic is 10 out of 100 women will get pregnant each year from the pull out method.

My husband and I pulled out for 5 years before we got married...and nothing! A week before our wedding we decided to go for it, and 4 days after we married, I found out I was pregnant! You never know...hell, I thought something was wrong but obviously we were just lucky:) Good luck....

The probability depends on his sperm count and your fertility and regularity of ovulation. There are only 41,700,000 sperms on average in the pre-ejaculate of an average man compared to 756,947,510 in the average ejaculation.
