Wow .. you really need to rethink your posting question -- I still can't figure out how you connected the financial/fraudulent dealings of Enron to the "Butcher of Baghdad"...
Saddam was called "The Butcher of Baghdad" for a reason -- he definitely had a program of 'ethnic cleansing' in his own nation -- wiping out whole towns in one fell swoop .. men, women, children, elderly and infirm ... all killed in the need to find new towns for his 'chosen' peoples to establish 'new' settlements ... The HUNDREDS of Thousands of Iraqi residents that will never be seen again (and so many mass graves have been found by not just the US Forces, but Iraqis themselves since Saddam's Government toppled) is just a testament to his CRUELTY and rages ...
Harsh? I think NOT ... especially for those who did survive these 'cleansing' raids (by quirks of fate and playing dead).

What in the heck does Saddam Hussein have to do w/ Enron, are you freakin serious?
Saddam Hussein killed thousands of his own people becoming well known is his country as "The Butcher of Baghdad".... He is not Kenneth Lay who was responsible for Enron.... Either you are VERY voung or were born a blonde....
As for if or if not his execution is right or wrong, why don't you poll the family members, of those he tortured and murdered....

What does people losing money in Enron have to do with Saddam Hussein getting the death penalty?
EDIT: No it's not too harsh. The death penalty in the middle east is often used on crimes where in the west you'd get 5-10 years minimum security prison time, yet alone mass murder. The death penalty is a common punishment used for crimes on this scale.

Saddam and Enron? No connection honey. And no punishment is to harsh for him, he had no remorse for all the horrible things he has done to "his" people. So why should we care about his life? I think we should celebrate.

Dear God, i hope you are not serious. Enron has nothing to do with Saddam. Saddam killed 1000s of his own citizens. That's why he is being hung.

Hes not the enron problem for starts, and #2 hello!!! are you aware how many innocent people not only in his country but in AMERICA he has happily killed, i think you should rethink your opinion about how "harsh" it is, when he killed those people with more then just killing them, he tortured them with pleasure!! And not hanging torture worse, hun he deserves it...

Yeah, I think you're right, killing a man who murdered thousands is to hard on the poor guy, why don't we make it 40 years in a nice comfortable jail cell with time off for good behavior.
Are you kidding me? Kill the bas(unwanted child)ard, let him experience what he did to thousands of innocent people.

Life imprisonment seems to me to be the closest to years of torture. Some people believe he should be subjected to that. The Bible says that whoever takes a man's life, by men he should be put to death. Take your choice.
