Oh, that's a tough call b/c either will take all your money. Think about which one you will use the most and then go for it!!!

get a digital camera and a MP3 player, dont get and ipod. If you can get both for $150 and save the rest. But dont blow the whole $300 on two things. I bought a good HP digital camera off of amazon for $80.

do u want a ipod video if yes, it cost $350 for 80g, the most video gig, my friend have 1, some movie movies are long and cool videos
a digital camera, you can wait, a while, now a kodak 7.1mp is $159, ,ipod is more fun, next time when you buy a camera, it will cost $100 in 7.1mp

get a 2gb ipod nano that only comes in silver, 129 i think
the rest, a nice digi camera on sale
