Hey T! I understand what you mean b/c I'm 25 and I have a 2 1/2 year old son, full time student at Buffalo State, and work 30 hours a week w/ developmentally disabled kids. By the end of the day, I feel like "screw the laundry!" (But I do it anyways!) I moved out when I was 18, ad then moved back home at 21. I just recently put a down payment on my own house (about 8 months ago) and I never realized how much help my mom was! I miss it too! But she watches my son every Tuesday night while I work, so she still helps me.
I commend you on being a single dad. I don't think your lazy at all! How about I'll do your laundry one week and you do mine the next?! LOL!

Most of us who can from a secure and loving home, where mom and dad took care of us, wish that would last forever. The best way to thank them for being great parents and giving you a great home is to stand on your own and create your own great home. Call a pick up/delivery laundry service. They even do buttons. It's time to show mom and dad what good work they've done in raising you to be independent and to possibly create a special place for someone else.

If you go back now, then that means that you will never be happy with the way your future wife looks after you. You wont resist the urge to run back to mommy when the going gets tough. Stay independant and visit her when you can. But dont make it difficult for your future wife and the relationship she would want with your mom. I must tell you, It's not nice for a grown up to run to his mommy for everything.

I still live with mom, but I am only 20 and still a student. You have been living on your own for 10 years, I would think you have learned how to take care of yourself by now. If you move back in with your parents, girls/guys will not think much of you, especially if you are only moving back so that your parents will take care of you. You are an adult now, try to take care of yourself, and if you can not handle it, than perhaps try getting a roomate and divide up the chores.

no on my own at 17 teen. Now 25 married with 2 kids and a normal life. Funny, I was the one who did all the house work when I lived at home, worked a job and went to school.

As a Mom- at 28 you wouldn't be in my home- nor would I be doing your laundry.
Get a wife who likes to be treated like that- or better yet a maid you pay to do it.
Your quite an item.

At 36, I'd feel sort of bad if I still lived with my mom. I've been on my own since I got out of college and I'm glad to be on my own now!

I'm 30 and I live with my hubby & children...but he does all the laundry, cooking, cleaning.....and everything else.. so It's almost like living at home with my mommy! ^_^
